Programs and learning
What makes HPOC University different?
HPOC University centers culturally rooted holistic education, metaphysical study, and ancestral approaches to healing. We created a learning space where the knowledge and experiences of communities of color are part of the education, not an afterthought. Students are invited to study deeply, think critically, and consider how they can use their learning in service to their communities.

What degree programs do you offer?
HPOC University offers certifications, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree pathways in selected areas of holistic health and metaphysical study. Visit our Degrees page for the current list of programs, specializations, requirements, and tuition.

Do I need prior experience in holistic health?
You do not need to be an experienced practitioner to begin exploring our programs. Review the admission requirements for the degree that interests you, and contact us if you would like help identifying an appropriate starting point.

Are classes online?
Yes. Coursework is offered online with access to a professor. Review your chosen program for its specific coursework, participation expectations, and completion requirements.

Is learning self-paced?
Our programs offer flexibility, but self-paced does not mean unlimited time to complete a degree. Each program has its own courses and completion requirements. Read the details for your chosen program before enrolling.

How long does a degree take?
The expected timeline depends on the degree level and program requirements. Your program page provides the most relevant information, including any deadlines for coursework or a culminating project. Individual completion times may vary.

Will I need to buy books or other materials?
Some programs require books or other learning materials beyond tuition. Check the program details for required materials and their estimated costs before enrolling. Please contact us if a required item is unclear.

Applying and enrolling
How do I apply?
Start on the page for the degree you want to pursue and complete its application. Our admissions team will review your submission and contact you by email about next steps. Check your spam or promotions folder if you are waiting for a response.

Is there an application fee?
There is no application fee for certification programs. Degree programs require an $11 application fee.
​
What happens after I am accepted?
You will receive enrollment instructions explaining how to complete any required payment steps and access your learning platform. Keep your acceptance and enrollment emails for reference as you begin.

Do you accept transfer credits or transcripts from other schools?
HPOC University does not currently award transfer credit for coursework completed at another institution. If you have previous education or training, you are welcome to tell us about it when discussing which program fits your goals.

What are the tuition and payment options?

Accreditation and credentials
Is HPOC University accredited?
Accreditation can refer to different kinds of review or recognition. The U.S. Department of Education does not directly accredit colleges or programs; it recognizes certain accrediting agencies. Please read our Accreditation, Credentials, and Professional Scope page or contact us for documentation of our current status. Do not assume that recognition by a professional or spiritual organization is the same as accreditation by a Department-recognized agency.

What credential will I receive when I graduate?
You will receive the degree specified for the program you complete. HPOC University also describes a Metaphysical Minister designation connected with its degree programs through Metaphysical Science Ministries. Review your program documents to confirm the exact degree title, the organization awarding any additional designation, and any requirements for maintaining that separate ministerial credential.

Does an HPOC University degree give me a professional license?
No. A degree or ministerial designation does not, by itself, grant a state license to practice medicine, professional counseling, or another regulated profession. It does not authorize you to diagnose medical or mental health conditions, prescribe treatment or medication, or provide services that require a license where you work. If you are pursuing a licensed career, check the requirements directly with the relevant state licensing board before enrolling. Requirements differ by profession and location.

Can I use this degree to enter another university or qualify for a particular job?
The receiving school or employer decides which credentials it accepts. If transfer, admission to another degree program, employment, or professional certification is essential to your plans, ask that organization about its requirements before enrolling. HPOC University cannot guarantee that another organization will accept its degree.

Metaphysical Science Ministries affiliation
Is ministerial affiliation separate from my degree?
Yes. A degree records the educational program you completed. Ministerial affiliation concerns your standing with Metaphysical Science Ministries and your use of its active ministerial designation. Please review the terms supplied by Metaphysical Science Ministries to understand what renewal maintains and which benefits it includes.

Is there an annual ministerial affiliation fee?
Metaphysical Science Ministries currently lists an annual affiliation fee of $35, or $50 for two years, for ministers who maintain active affiliation. Confirm the current fee, renewal date, grace period, and included services in your ministerial agreement before paying.

What happens if I do not renew ministerial affiliation?
Your active ministerial standing and related benefits may lapse under Metaphysical Science Ministries’ terms. Nonrenewal does not erase coursework you completed or the historical fact that you earned a degree. Contact Metaphysical Science Ministries for the rules governing use of its ministerial titles, verification of active standing, and reinstatement.
