How is HPOC University different from other schools?

The holistic health industry is growing by leaps and bounds. As a result, many companies and organizations offer holistic health and wellness certifications but few emphasize the physiological and biological differences of people of color.  Our programs focus on research specific to and inclusive of people of color. We align ourselves with the tradition of HBCUs. We believe in creating and sustaining our own institutions. We create highly educated, dynamically skilled, and well-prepared wellness warriors interested in holistic health FOR THE CULTURE.

Our programs are open to anyone with a sincere interest to be equitable in wellness care.

What can I do with my certification?

Holistic education demonstrates proficiency in your respective focus so you can start your own practice or work for someone else, perform holistic consultations, manage a wellness program or store, become an educational speaker,  or write a book or educational materials.

Holistic Health laws vary from state to state. Be sure to do the research in your respective state.  We do not provide job placement once you have graduated from the program.  Click here to see the laws for your state.

It is a violation of state medical practice laws for anyone to prescribe, diagnose or perform surgeries without holding the appropriate MEDICAL state license. Holistic professionals do not prescribe or advocate the use of drugs. Typically, holistic and wellness professionals are referred to as "drugless doctors." A traditional naturopathic education does not include training in surgery.

Based on the needs of students, we are accreditated by organizations that are well-versed in the field of Holistic Health that sets high standards and qualifications. We are accredited by the International Association of Therapists.

Metaphysical Science Ministries (MSM), a 501(c)3 non-profit tax-exempt organization, is the parent body of Holistic Professionals of Color University engaging in private, postsecondary, distance learning spiritual education. Our degrees are awarded in regard to professional holistic, natural, and metaphysical spiritual work and fall under the jurisdiction of private postsecondary education. Graduates have the legal right to use degree titles awarded in conjunction with the metaphysician status conferred by Metaphysical Science ministries.

Because Metaphysical degrees are spiritual in nature, the U.S. Department of Education, under U.S. Federal Law, can neither praise, credit, discredit, nor accredit Metaphysical Institutions. For this reason, accreditation is only available by governing bodies well-versed in holistic healing.

If a person’s focus is to be active in holistic, metaphysical healing, the school should have an adequate curriculum that prepares graduates with the schooling necessary to function in a professional metaphysical counseling capacity.

We will always seek to be accredited by groups of our professional peers.

Graduates have the legal right to use degree titles awarded in conjunction with the ministerial status conferred. The curriculum includes a synthesis of holistic, metaphysical applications designed to address the health disparity by including Holistic Metaphysics.  We have chosen specific wording and phrasing for our programs that are sure to not be confused with the practice of medicine. We do not practice medicine. We provide holistic and natural health consultations, regardless of the type of diploma or degree you achieve.
