About
Colonization, systemic racism, and cultural erasure have deeply influenced health beliefs, self-perception, and wellness narratives within BIPOC individuals and communities. This certification explores how historical trauma has seeded internalized oppression in our views of health, body image, healing, and self-worth. Students will critically examine colonial medical systems, decolonize health narratives, and learn culturally restorative practices to support personal and community healing. By the end of this course, students will be empowered to dismantle oppressive internalized health beliefs and reclaim ancestral frameworks of wellness and self-valuation.
