An HPOC University master’s degree builds on the corresponding bachelor’s degree. Students complete the nine classes in their bachelor’s pathway, then take five additional classes focused on more advanced study and application.
Master’s students should plan to spend approximately 6–8 hours each week on coursework. Classes are designed to be taken one at a time, with each class completed in approximately one month. The five master’s classes form an expected five-month sequence after completion of the bachelor’s pathway.

Degree objective
Build on the Bachelor’s Degree in Holistic Health through advanced study of African holistic health, psychology, energy practices, and responsible client relationships. Students explore how to connect multiple whole-person approaches while working within appropriate ethical and professional boundaries.

Degree objective
Build on the Bachelor’s Degree in Holistic Transpersonal Counseling through deeper study of somatic practices, symbolic expression, spiritual transformation, and structured approaches to supporting clients. Students examine complex experiences while learning to recognize when referral to a licensed professional is needed.

Degree objective
Build on the Bachelor’s Degree in Metaphysical Herbalism through advanced study of plants, the gut–brain relationship, emotional well-being, life-stage considerations, and ancestral plant traditions. Students examine both the possibilities and limitations of herbal approaches, with close attention to safety and cultural context.

Degree objective
Extend the bachelor’s comparative study of African and African diasporic spiritual traditions through deeper historical inquiry, community-based scholarship, and ethical interpretation. Students develop a project that identifies its specific tradition, sources, and limits without claiming authority over practices that require initiation or community recognition.

Students learn to evaluate claims carefully and communicate clearly about the nature and limits of energy-centered practices.
